The number of seculars is declining in Turkey.

Date:

Turkey is currently undergoing a kind of turnaround. In a country ruled by a secular constitution, it is impossible to find a secular person. For twenty years, Turkey has been ruled by an Islamist government. Erdogan has made many efforts to exclude secularism from Turkey.

The Turkish lira is improving again in the stock market.

Starting from school-college. Erdogan has renovated mosques, churches, liquor stores and beaches etc. He did this mainly because of his Islamic values. In many cases, he has succeeded. Again, in many cases, he has failed.

However, Erdogan’s reforms have led many Turks to abandon Islam. In particular, the fans of Ataturk, the father of the Turkish nation.  Erdogan has managed to reduce the number of secularists in the last twenty years. Besides, the number of devout Muslims has also increased. However, with the rise of religious people, the number of atheists is increasing exponentially.

What reforms did Erdogan make in the field of education?

A serious problem among students in Turkey is that they live in the same room as boys and girls. That is, boys and girls could stay together in one room if they wanted to.  As a result, a boy and a girl would have sex before marriage. In addition, many girls sold their bodies for money.

But after Erdogan came to power, he banned the rule altogether. He arranged separate hostels for girls to study and separate hostels for boys to read. Moreover, the doctrine of the Greek philosopher Darwin was taken from Turkish books. Note that Darwin’s theory of evolution is not scientifically proven.

Changes in the religious system.

The greatest thing in the religious system is to give religious people the opportunity to work in big positions. Today, almost all-female military officers in Turkey wear the hijab.  Hijabi girl also contributes to the field of science.  Moreover, Erdogan converted “Hagia Sophia” from a museum to a mosque. However, his decision sparked a storm of criticism on social media.

However, the last time Erdogan decided to cut interest rates was in December 2021. Decided to make the interest rate only 5%. This was followed by a record fall in the value of the Turkish lira. However, due to some bold moves by Erdogan, the value of the lira is rising again.

The number of both atheists and Islamists is growing in Turkey.

Because of Erdogan’s decision, many are angry with him. The number of Islamists in Turkey has increased.  Besides, the number of atheists has also increased.  As I said before writing this article, Turkey is a secular country but it is safe to say that it is not secular at present.

Irreligion in Turkey

Turkey’s secularists have largely chosen atheism. In doing so, they have the opportunity to oppose religion directly.  Not France or America. The most publicly insulted Islam is in Turkey.  A few days ago, bad posters were put up in Istanbul about the Prophet Muhammad and his family.

So let’s just say that despite the increase in the number of Islamist religious people in Turkey. At the same time, the number of atheists is increasing. Source
